Our mother wrote this song about her sister, who committed suicide many years ago after battling with depression for a large part of her life. I remember being struck by its beauty and raw emotion as a child, hearing her sing the tune from time to time as she was deciding on final lyrics to it. Last year I asked her if she might be okay with me putting it to music and recording it and she was very pleased with the prospect. So for my mother's birthday this year- October third- my sister Jillian and I teamed up to bring this song to fruition. Being a sibling does not stop with death.

Jillian and I are the next generation of sisters- sisters for life.
